Landing
Islets and skerries without a quay are reached by your own boat or by kayak. Many of them lie inside seabird reserves where landing is banned in the breeding season, as a rule from 15 April to 15 July. The boundaries and the dates are in Naturbase at the Norwegian Environment Agency, and they are worth checking before you go ashore.

Akerøy lies about 1.9 km from here. Ubebodd øy ytterst i Hvaler med gravrøyser fra bronsealderen og en gammel skanse/redutt på høyeste punkt. Kjent rasteplass for trekkfugl med egen ornitologisk stasjon siden 1961, og en populær kystledhytte (tidligere Johan Borgens bolig). Del av Ytre Hvaler nasjonalpark.
