Landing

Islets and skerries without a quay are reached by your own boat or by kayak. Many of them lie inside seabird reserves where landing is banned in the breeding season, as a rule from 15 April to 15 July. The boundaries and the dates are in Naturbase at the Norwegian Environment Agency, and they are worth checking before you go ashore.

Ostøya lies about 1.3 km from here. Bærums største øy, ca. 2 400 dekar, i Oslofjorden nær Sandvika. Hovedsakelig privateid med gårdsdrift og hytter, en golfbane fra 1964 og et naturreservat fra 2002 som verner skogen. Historisk drevet med jordbruk, skogbruk, saltutvinning, steinhogging, fiske og jakt.
