Landing
Islets and skerries without a quay are reached by your own boat or by kayak. Many of them lie inside seabird reserves where landing is banned in the breeding season, as a rule from 15 April to 15 July. Hvasser lies about 2.7 km from here. Kommunens fjerde største øy, ytterst i Vestfold-skjærgården ca. 25 km sør for Tønsberg. Livlig sommersted med tettstedet Hvasser og sentrum ved Sandøsund (Krukehavn) med butikk, kafeer og restauranter. Flere fine badestrender: Lilleskagen i nord, Sydstranda, Sønstegård og Jørestrand.
