Landing

Islets and skerries without a quay are reached by your own boat or by kayak. Many of them lie inside seabird reserves where landing is banned in the breeding season, as a rule from 15 April to 15 July. The boundaries and the dates are in Naturbase at the Norwegian Environment Agency, and they are worth checking before you go ashore.

Kjøkøya lies about 2.1 km from here. Øy sør for Kråkerøy, broforbundet. Kjøkøy fort (tysk kystbatteri fra 1941, nedlagt 1993) er nå friluftsområde åpent for publikum; to 10,5 cm kanoner står igjen i bunkere. Tidligere forlegning huser Pynten skole.
