Landing
Islets and skerries without a quay are reached by your own boat or by kayak. Many of them lie inside seabird reserves where landing is banned in the breeding season, as a rule from 15 April to 15 July. Bolærne lies about 0.5 km from here. Øygruppe i Ytre Oslofjord utenfor Nøtterøy, med hovedøyene Vestre, Mellom og Østre Bolæren og rundt 40 mindre holmer og skjær (2,6 km²). Bebodd fra 1600-tallet, kjøpt av Forsvaret i 1916 til Bolærne fort, og en av regionens mest populære utfartsøyer med sesongferge fra Tønsberg. Mesteparten inngår i Færder nasjonalpark.
