Landing

Islets and skerries without a quay are reached by your own boat or by kayak. Many of them lie inside seabird reserves where landing is banned in the breeding season, as a rule from 15 April to 15 July. Tristein lies about 2.2 km from here. Liten øygruppe («Tristeinane» eller Lille Færder) ytterst i Oslofjorden, ca. 1,6 nm sør for Store Færder. På den midtre øya står Færder fyr, i drift fra 1857 og et av landets mest kjente fyr. Del av Færder nasjonalpark (opprettet 2013).
