Landing

Islets and skerries without a quay are reached by your own boat or by kayak. Many of them lie inside seabird reserves where landing is banned in the breeding season, as a rule from 15 April to 15 July. Håøya lies about 1.1 km from here. Øy i Vestfjorden vest for Nøtterøy, kjent for Håøya fort som fra ca. 1905 vernet Marinens reservehavn i Melsomvik. Tyskerne brukte øya til ubåteksperimenter under krigen. Senere feriekoloni og feriesenter for Forsvaret; lagt ut for salg i 2019.
