Landing

Islets and skerries without a quay are reached by your own boat or by kayak. Many of them lie inside seabird reserves where landing is banned in the breeding season, as a rule from 15 April to 15 July. The boundaries and the dates are in Naturbase at the Norwegian Environment Agency, and they are worth checking before you go ashore.

Bleikøya lies about 0.3 km from here. Liten øy i indre Oslofjord mellom Hovedøya og Sjursøya, med rundt 90 fritidshytter fra 1920-30-tallet. Fra 1885 til 1926 lå det et sanatorium for barn med skrofulose (en form for tuberkulose) her; forfatteren Oskar Braaten var pasient som barn. Statseid, forvaltet av Statsbygg.
